One would think it looks like it's trapped but there appears to be no sign of fear of not being able to escape on the squirrel's face. After all, why should it worry when it managed so effortlessly to get itself in there in the first place? Squirrels quite like bird feeders... A very, very lovely photo!

Yes, the squirrel got in and out really well. The openings in the rack are that big.
